First Month Niche Site Update – Income School Project 24 Review

Today I wanted to talk to you about my new niche website that I have just been starting to build.

I uploaded a video on my YouTube channel walking you through my statistics on google analytics. Which you can watch below.

Lately I have NOT been posting consistently on the site, as the course I am taking suggests.

Been very busy on other projects, and have not posted a post in over 2 or more weeks.

But it is encouraging to see the site still generating around a average of 5 or so new users everyday. For the first 30 to 40 days since taking the course.

As for the complete first month of data since beginning the course back around the 13th of May, you can see below:

It is exciting to see the sites first full month, generating 1,053 pageviews. The week before taking the course you can see the traffic was limited. And almost instantly upon taking the course, I implemented the learnings immediately. And you can see a sudden increase in traffic, which is incredible.

The main goal for the site for next month will be to better the monthly pageview amount. Maybe even try and get into the 2,000 pageviews for the month. The more pageviews the more money you make.

Looking at the site GEO information and the location of the majority of the site users. It is no surprise that most are from the United States, followed by Australia and then the United Kingdom.

In total for the first month, as you can see above, the site attracted 328 New Users.

It is also surprising that the main users are male and aged between 25 to 54. Many case studies I have seen don’t like sharing their site and detail info. But I don’t have any fear. So the site if you want to see what I am doing and watch it grow and see the progress.

Having a look at the top channel sources for traffic. Direct and Organic Search are up there. It is really cool to see the site already ranking in Google with Organic Search.

The 3rd and 4th traffic sources are YouTube and Instagram for this site. I have been posting content of my bicycle touring adventures on my YouTube channel and linking to the blog in the description. But I have not mentioned the site in videos only cards sometimes in the top right corner. And around 11.5% of all traffic source comes from YouTube.

I can imagine this would grow significantly when I mentioned the site and give a call to action in a video. This will result in much larger traffic to the site.

But the 4th traffic source is interesting and I want to talk a bit further on this.

So Instagram only gets under 3% of total traffic, but this is growing. And it is very much hands off. All I do is use a scheduling app, and organise all content to be posted everyday. And let it update automatically. It takes a few hours to schedule everything, but after that you don’t really have to touch it.

Unless you want to start properly growing your following, that would take time to get your hands dirty and start authentically engaging with potential users and audience for your site.

But as you can see below this is what this sites Instagram account looks like.

There is heaps of room to grow this account. But all I do is repost other peoples content and share there stories. Saves myself having to create new content for every post.

With a clear call to action in the bio “visit our blog” seems to be getting results for traffic over to the site.

Looking further into social media, Facebook is responsible for around 33 sessions.

The main thing I have been using Facebook for is the groups. Groups are powerful for getting traffic to your site. Search for groups that are around your niche.

It is important not to spam, but get in the conversion. Ask questions.

A really successful strategy I implemented. Was creating a post in the group asking a specific question, followed by I was wondering so I can gather information for my next blog post.

The groups I am in for this niche are super engaged, and I got many comments. I then created a post around their answers and once the article was live. I commented on that Facebook post with the article link. This generated really great traffic results.

Here is a example of the article that is ranking 3rd on Google Search for the term “Butterfly Handlebars Review”

As you can see CTO is the third result. This is the main article that is getting around 150 pageviews per month to the site.

It is not much, but it is encouraging to see some numbers and the potential for growth in future.

It is wonderful to see the site growing and people taking a interest into the content I am providing for this niche.

The idea of blogging or niche website building for a future passive style income stream, has always been appealing for me.

But it is hard, like anything, to know exactly what it is that you need to do to ensure success and results. Having a proven and clear step by step process has been a huge help.

Often times when learning new things without anyones guidance I often would bounce around and stumble quite a lot.

As of recently I have come to the realisation of the importance in investing in yourself. Whether that is with courses, mentors, reading books around that specific topic you want to gain a further understanding about. Or any other informational products that will further your knowledge.

At a certain point watching YouTube videos are great, and yes you could probably learn all the ins and outs to the skill you are trying to master. But the information is scattered and incomplete most times.

Anyway back to blogging. Since I have understood the importance in learning from those who have already learnt the hard way and have proven income generating success. I figured it is best to learn from the experts directly.

And for blogging and building a profitable website that will bring in income for the long term. I decided to get Income Schools – Project 24 niche website course.

It is more then just a course, it is a number of courses. Around many different topics.
